If you want your kids to be close to nature, you might as well skip your shopping schedule and go to the best zoos. I’m sure that your kids will slightly disagree with this idea. After all, they are surrounded by the wonders of technology. They don’t see the need to check out the real animals. They are into virtual pets. But you have to make them visit the zoos. Well, I have the best places around the US. You might want to choose from one of these options.

Bronx Zoo – If you want to see more than 4,000 animals in one area, this is the best place for that. To date, this is the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States. Visiting here is like going into a real forest filled with wonders of nature. It’s not the usual zoo where you’re separated using glass. They have a unique spot where you are only separated by grass. That’s scary and fun at the same time.

Lincoln Park Zoo – If you want to save money, this is the perfect zoo. It’s one of the last zoos in America that doesn’t require admission fees. If you are in Chicago, you shouldn’t miss this spot. You’ll find different species from cockroaches to huge cats. For your kids, I’m sure that they will enjoy the zoo’s barnyard.

PHX Zoo – One of the main problems of zoo tourists is the parking space. Well, you don’t have to worry about that in PHX zoo. I’m sure that you will have a very comfortable parking lot. San Diego Zoo – I should say that this is a very fast developing zoo in the States. I know that kids love large pandas. Well, they won’t get disappointed because San Diego Zoo has that. You might want to try their ‘Skyfari’. With this, you’ll have an aerial view of the zoo. What I love about this zoo is that it practices conservation. You can be assured that all the animals are well taken care of.

Lion Country Safari – If you don’t want to walk in zoos, you can just go to the Lion Country Safari. Just so you know, it’s a drive – through safari park. It’s relatively new if you are going to compare this with other zoos in the US. And what makes it worth visiting? It’s recognized as the 3rd best zoo in America. That means, you can expect a lot from it.

There are other zoos where you can take your kids. But the above list is the best in the US. I’m sure that you won’t waste your money or time in these popular wildlife areas.

If you are travelling around the west coast of the U.S. I know a great place for you to visit. It’s a really big city, one of the biggest of the U.S..

The temperatures in San Diego can reach high numbers, if you like hot weather this is a place where you’re going to enjoy.
