If you are new to the printing industry, you might get confused on the jargons or specialized words that only the professionals can understand. Terms such as OEM, remanufactured, compatible and generic printer ink cartridges can be encountered may result into confusion. Here are some of the differences between these terms that will help clarify things.

 

OEM Ink Cartridges

OEM or Original Equipment Manufacturer ink cartridges are ink cartridges that bear the original name of your printer brand. Brands like HP, Epson, Brothers, Canon, Lexmark and Dell are just some of these brands that manufacture their own inkjet printer cartridges. These OEM will surely deliver high-quality standards and authenticity for it carries the name of the company. They are a bit expensive compared to generic or compatible ink cartridges.

 

Compatible Ink Cartridges

Compatible ink cartridges are those that are not created by the brand manufacturer but produced by other companies. They are just compatible or can be used by the model printer. These compatible cartridges are also called “generics”. They are manufactured with high-standards and sometimes even exceeded of those of the OEMs. Though compatible printer ink cartridges are not created originally by the brand company, they still offer the best and quality standard services that will definitely make every penny spending worthwhile.

 

Remanufactured Ink Toners and Cartridges

Remanufactured ink cartridges are empty ink cartridges that have been manufactured by specialists and technicians. These are recycled by refilling with compatible ink that can deliver the same or almost the same quality prints just like the original. The refilling undergoes certain process: cleaning, inspecting and refurbishing missing cartridge parts. After these processes, the empty ink cartridge will then be refilled with the ink. Remanufactured ink cartridges are usually cheaper compared to OEMs and compatible cartridges.

Old style printers are printers that are bulky and are connected to multiple wires and cords making your work area or your office look messy and unorganized. Printers nowadays are wireless that reduced or removed the said connected words. Setting up a wireless printer is just easy, here are the steps:

Modern printers have that have Wi-Fi or internet connections can detect existing connections to make your printer wireless. Printers with LCD display, you can just search for networks then connect by entering a password and then you are ready to go. Some printers have Bluetooth devices that can be connected to other devices. These methods will allow the automatic connections of your devices.

For manual connections, here are the steps:

  1. Install your printer device. The Printer setup will automatically set the IP address for your printer. You can use the CD software that is included in your printer. Just follow all the instructions that will be prompted on your screen.
  2. If you don’t have a CD, you can manually setup your printer to make it wireless.
  3. Click the Start Menu then select Devices and Printers.
  4. Click the Add a Printer option.
  5. Click the Add a Network or Add a Bluetooth Device. The computer will search for the new device that you want to install.
  6. In the search dialog box, select your printer then click OK.
  7. Click Install Driver. Then OK.
  8. A series of instructions will appear on your screen. Follow these steps.

If you have made your printer wireless, try to test it by printing a file or document. The inkjet cartridges should respond to your command. The printer should use your printer ink cartridges in printing your data. Just make sure that your printer inkjet cartridges are installed correctly and they are not empty to work properly. If they run dry, replace them immediately.

We all use printers, in fact printers take a part in our modern lifestyle. I know printers don’t have the same importance as computers but still most people that has a computer has a printer.

Printers are really useful for most lines of jobs and for students, if you have a kid you should invest in a printer because it’s going to be pretty useful for your kid.

Now the new printers also come with scanner and that’s great because you can take like a photocopy of documents in your own house, I use that feature a lot of times and I can tell you that those printers are really useful.

One thing that I used to spend a lot of money was the ink cartridges but that’s all past because now I buy cheap printer ink, it’s the same quality for a much more affordable price.

Be careful about which printer you buy, most nowadays printers are pretty cheap but I don’t find on them too much quality, be absolutely sure about the printer you buy, try to know more things about printers with the tests realized by magazines.

Nowadays everybody needs a printer, despite needing some people still take their copies from the copy shop but it’s much better to have your own printer in your house.

A printer is essential to everyday life because there is always something that you need to print especially if you are a student, I’m a student and a part time worker and I have a printer at my place but when I come to my mother’s which doesn’t have any printer is a big problem because I have to go to the copy shop which isn’t very close and is more expensive.

Having a printer might be cheaper but you still have to spend some money to get those copies done, if you think that you’re spending too much money on your printer cartridges maybe you should check discount inkjet printer cartridges. If you don’t spend too much money on ink or paper your copies will be much cheaper and that’s really good stuff.

So the main ideas of this post are: get a printer because copies will be cheaper and more comfortable to do, buy cheap inkjet cartridges which will reduce the cost of your prints, and buy cheap paper if you can.
