Finding a decent place to spend the night is a chief concern among travelers of all kinds; well, except for the few who don’t mind sleeping under a bridge or over a garden bench. Fortunately, in this day and age there is no shortage of options, suitable for all budgets and requirements of comfort.

If you’re wondering exactly what options you have while looking for a place to spend the nights during your travels, this article will review the most common options.

Hotels

By far and wide, hotels are quite likely the most mainstream type of holiday accommodation. They are widespread and practical; you just need to check in with your luggage, usually without need of prior appointment. There are hotels available in all kinds of price ranges and luxury levels, many of which feature nice perks such as room service or heated pools.

Hostels

Increasingly popular among students and budget travelers, hostels are akin to social hotels. Rather than booking a room, you usually get a place in a bunker bed and access to living room and bathroom. This usually means that you can spend the night somewhere at extremely affordable prices, and it’s also a great way to meet other travelers; the obvious downside is that you don’t get as much privacy as you would in a regular hotel.

Cottages

For those who enjoy communing with nature and trekking across natural landscapes, renting a cottage can be a very enticing option. It can be relatively affordable, depending on elements such as location and construction quality, and it’s usually a good way to find some peace and quiet away from the urban chaos. Just look for a rural area that you’d like to explore, find a holiday cottage for rental, and you’ll be set for a week or two of bliss.

Holiday Villas

If you’re all about peace and quiet and money is not an issue, you may want to go all the way and rent a Villa. This type of holiday accommodation usually ranges from luxury country houses to small mansions featuring dozens of rooms, and they tend to be located in secluded places. A great option if you can afford it; or otherwise ideal for times when you’re planning a group holiday or business gathering.

Time Shares

For anyone who demands top comfort and wants to get their money’s worth, a time share can be ideal. The concept here revolves around booking a regular time slot in a house somewhere, which works pretty much like a shared vacation site. This kind of deal can be competitive in terms of price/quality, but the downside is that you usually have to make a steady commitment to a specific holiday house, to get the best prices.

Couch Surfing

Increasingly popular since the advent of the Internet, couch surfing is a concept that revolves on good will and solidarity: it’s a network of people who are willing to host guest during a night or two, usually free of charge. If you’re either on a really tight budget or you want to mingle with the locals during your travels, couch surfing can be a great option.

Playing the game means travelling, and a lot. This must be why most people love travelling, meeting new places and cultures is exhilarating and also is a good way to obtain culture right from the source.

Travelling means going to new places and when you go to a new place the first thing you need is accommodation. To arrange accommodation you should search the net since most accommodation companies publicize and accept bookings over the internet. Take as an example Cheap London Hotels, just click in the previous link.

When you arrange accommodation you should pay special attention to the price, you can find really expensive places that offer a lot of quality or not all the time but if you search hard enough you’ll find hotels that offer the same quality for less than half, be careful as you can get ripped off very easily in this line of business.

In this posts I tell you how to find cheap London hotels but that site also features cheap hotels all over the world, if you don’t want to spend too much time searching the internet just try the site in the link above.

To finish this post I would like to wish you the best travels in the world.

Croatia is a beautiful country and it has a lot to offer. Most cities in Croatia have a lot of old architecture which is quite pleasant to see and live in.

Croatia can be a bit cold in the winter but it should be alright if you take some coats with you. In the summer is fine and you‘ll feel good in a t-shirt.

One special city is Split because it has a lot of monument to see and is in the shoreline which makes it very nice to be at in the summer. At most you just need to get a flight and apartments in Split. Accommodation is a very important point and shouldn’t be taken slightly, you should bet in apartment rentals but then there is a wide range of accommodations to choose from in Split.

Give a bit of European flavor to your vacations by visiting the awesome Croatia.
